My First Post
Introduction
This is my first post and I’m excited. However, at this moment I’m still trying to figure out on deploying the website and other kinks. One issue I have encountered is DNS configuration. I have no idea which record to add from what I research there are three main options A, AAAA, and CNAME. CNAME is apparently the default record. However, when I attempt to visit the site and error page is shown.
Error Page *also attempted to input a sad face but didn’t workout. So moving on.
What does this do?
That was literally me trying to figure out the syntax of ==MarkDown== and still ==testing== :joy: . I guess the cheat sheet lied. I was trying to highlight and insert an emoji.
I FIGURED IT OUT
Look for those who think my thoughts are all over the place and have no idea what’s going on. Well, I apparently have ADHD. Anyways, I was following a guide on “How to set up a blog with Hugo and Cloudflare”. Let’s just say it’s a general outline, it does not go in detail in terms of the more technical aspect such as the aforementioned DNS configuration. The issue I ran into was that initially Cloudflare couldn’t find the correct deployment root folder. A work around I find useful is instead of following the guide use hugos own quickstart guide to setup your repository folder and instead cloning and transfer the theme file directly added through git submodule.
What did I figure out?
I missed spelled my own website in the hugo.toml file which led to the error message. Instead of kaizenjanaru.me I put kaizenjanarul.me.By the way it took me two days and literally redoing the repository to figure out the issue. HAHA! It’s always the small details. I legit thought I had to literally learn the whole wide web serves to deploy and manage my own blog.
BYE!
To end my first blog post is a picture of my Christmas gifts. I’m low key over this and I’m gonna go play Satisfatory.
